Come Paddle With Me Because I’ll Go Insane Otherwise!! (Chill and Pristine Lake Paddling)

OVERVIEW

Hey y’all! Do you want to paddle away from your exam woes? Me too. Join Jade and I for a chill paddle out on Ragged Mountain Reservoir this Sunday. It’ll be a little chilly for swimming but with a balmy 50+ predicted degrees fahrenheit and some sun, it should be a good time. We will provide both stand up paddleboards and kayaks, whichever fits your fancy, and can provide cold water gear if you think you’ll be taking an accidental (or intentional) swim.

Itinerary:
3:00 – meet at corner of echols dorm, organize/grab kayaks/sups in cars and head to ragged mountain
3:30 – unload at ragged mountain and have a relaxing paddle out on the water
5:00/Sunset – take out and load back up
5:30 – everyone back to grounds full of pristine paddle vibes

You bring:
– Warm enough clothes that you don’t mind getting a little splashed in – Ragged mountain is a generally calm lake and as long as you are comfortable paddling the craft of your choice, it is unlikely that you will take an unexpected polar plunge
– Shoes that don’t mind getting a little wet (depends on how warm you like your toes, sandals/barefoot is great too)
– Dry clothes +shoes and a towel – Just in case!
– Water bottle and a snack if you so choose
– Your best calm and pristine paddling vibes

We bring:
– A kayak/sup of your choice
– Paddle + PFD + (kayak skirt if you would like it)
– Cold water gear (gloves, skull cap, wetsuit, booties, drysuit) if you would like it

Depending on type of watercraft people choose to take, and interest, drivers may be requested! In this case, drivers will get priority off the waitlist and can get they gas reimbursed.
