Range View Cabin, US 522 Mile 19.4, Sperryville, VA, USA
YOU ALL!!! I am so excited for this trip you don’t even know. Want to spend 2 nights in a cozy cabin just 0.1 miles from the AT and right off the skyline drive with 9 of your newest friends? WITH A WOOD STOVE?!?! Stoke is high!!!!!!
The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club is a fantastic organization – they are a nonprofit who help to maintain a huge portion of the AT, as well as cabins and shelters along it. I’ve booked us 2 nights at the Range View Cabin in Shenandoah National Park- which comes equipped with a wood stove to keep us nice and toasty. This cabin is super rustic! So while we aren’t tent camping, be prepared to be pretty much outside.
The fantastic thing about this cabin is how close it is to the AT! By hiking just a mere 0.1 miles we can hit the ground running or hiking allllllll day on Saturday and then head back to our cozy cabin and cook a delicious meal on our little wood stove. Yay!
