HIII EVERYONE! Imagine– a crisp fall night, going on a hike in the dark, the last bits of sunset fading on the horizon, surrounded by some wonderful new friends… AND after getting to the summit you enjoy delicious hot coco. THIS COULD BE YOU!!! Come to Turk Mountain with us!!
Turk mountain is a 2.4 mile out-and-back in Shenandoah with pretty pretty views. We’re planning on completing a BEGINNER NIGHT HIKE where we will stargaze at the top and make some hot cocoa, so bring a mug! It’s also going to be chilly so bring lots of layers– warm base layers, puffy / winter jacket, pants, warm hat and gloves.
The plan
5:00 pm: leave
5:45 pm: arrive!
Hike and chill till 7:15?
Back at 9 at the latest
To bring:
Layers (!!!!)
Hat and gloves
Good shoes to hike in (hiking boots or tennis shoes)
Water (2L)
Mug for hot cocoa (or other hot drink if you choose to bring a tea packet or something)
We’ll bring:
headlamps!
stove and pot for the hot drinks
