Crabtree Falls Day Hike

OVERVIEW

Hey party people!

Did you have a long night out on Saturday? Are you looking to find peace with nature after all of the sinning you did this weekend? Us too!

Crabtree Falls is a relatively easy 3 mile out and back hike about an hour away from UVA! There’s a LOVELY little waterfall that you follow allllll the way up to the top for some crazy ass views. Parking is $4 per car so we kindly ask everyone to pitch in a dollar so our drivers won’t have to cover it. Most importantly though, once we get to the top (about 1.5 miles up) we’re having a picnic so please bring some food for yourself (and maybe even a little extra to share with others)! I’ve hiked this trail three times already and I can tell you with full confidence that it is my absolute FAVORITE short hike in VA!!!

SCHEDULE
-meet at echols dorm at 9:00
-drive to crabtree, arrive around 10:00
-hikeeeeeee till 11:00
-picnic/hangout at the top till 12:00
-get back to the bottom around 1:00
-homeward bound 🙁

WHAT TO BRING
-water (2L)
-good hiking shoes
-a backpack to hold things
-food for the picnic (you can even bring some to share if you feel so inclined)
-portable speaker if you have one so we can jam at the top
-1 dollar
-a passion for the outdoors

DRIVER’S NEEDED!!!! They get priority off the waitlist, gas reimbursed, and a 50% tip! PLEASEEEEE show up with a full tank 🙂
