Creekathon Intro to Whitewater Kayaking!!

OVERVIEW

Howdy y’all

Have you ever wanted to try whitewater kayaking? Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie looking for another extreme sport to quench your thirst, or just want to leisurely cruise down a river with the sun on your shoulders, whitewater kayaking is the next outdoor activity for you! This class is designed to teach you the basics of whitewater kayaking: information about kayaks, how to paddle and maneuver, wet exiting, T-rescues, and recovery techniques. You might even learn an Eskimo roll!

The plan is to meet up at walnut creek park around 11:30, head down to the lake to learn all of the whitewater basics, paddle around for a couple of hours, and head back up to eat the dopest of cookout foods!

We’ll provide kayaks, spray skirts, paddles, PFD’s and helmets

You should bring:
Clothes that can get wet
Towel
Water
Perhaps even a change of clothes
