Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Moorman's Boulders
finally a bad weather for a weekend.
this is aimed to be a start point for people who dream about alpine or expeditions (I know some of you). if you have mountain climbing experience I recommend it.
we talk about how the glacier rope up is for different number of teams and stuff like that.
then I show you how a victim comes out of a crevasse and you practice. of course there is no crevasse around but we try to make it as real as possible. hopefully it will be snowing and cold. you will climb out with a 65 lb backpack. the rest of us uphill will pretend we are doing our job to rescue the victim
you are supposed to show up with a full mountain climbing clothes with your heaviest (biggest) boot. gloves are required.
have a scenario to make yourself the most miserable in the time of practice!
the trip is subject to the weather, we may move it to Sat (any day which is worse). now Sunday looks worse but it will be clearer later in the week.
I will let you know by Friday morning if you are in.
outdoors club provides everything,
you please bring snacks, water and proper clothes.
