Crossroads Cave
Hello, my beautiful ODC!!! It is I, Victor, an obsolete officer from an era gone by (2019 grad) back in town to pass on ancient knowledge and reinvigorate myself with your youthful presence!
Come explore the depths of the underground with me at Crossroads Cave! Crossroads is a maze cave with many different routes to explore. It’s great introduction to caving, so perfect for the beginning or new caver.
I am making this a beginner trip where I’ll teach you all you need to know about caving conservation, safety, and technique. Note that caves can include tight spaces and that caving involves being in the dark. If you are uncomfortable with either of those things, consider sitting this one out (or challenge yourself, idk).
Schedule:
9:00 – Leave Echols
10:30 – Arrive at cave and go over safety/conservation information
11:00 – Start caving
4:00 – Back at Car
5:00 – Back at Echols

– Water
– Snack/Lunch
– 24 hour emergency food supply
– Clothes that can get dirty/ripped/ruined (GLOVES, long pants, and long sleeves are mandatory)
– Close toed shoes that can get dirty/ripped/ruined (trust me, you will not want to be in chacos)
