Cumberland Island Spring Break 2014

OVERVIEW

Then you should join my spring break trip.

A brief itinerary:

9:00pm Check into KOA St Mary’s
Pack food
Sun 3/9/2014 6:00am Wake up, break camp,
Waffles at KOA
7:30am Depart for St. Mary’s
8:30am Pick up maps and tickets from NPS Office
9:00am Ferry to Cumberland Island
11:00am Meet with Ranger on Island, get Permits

Hiking will be 10-15 miles a day on Cumberland (with I suspect relatively heavy packs), and most of the trails at Skidaway Island (night hiking) and Ft Pulaski (beach hiking and sitting/vball on Tybee Island) and Downtown Savannah (city hiking).

What’s the catch? Gas is expensive and the club doesn’t pay for food anymore. So the cost for the trip will be $100, and I need to get it a week before we head out. Additionally, I only have 8 ferry ticket reservations (the amount I reserved back in December). Priority off the waitlist to drivers with large cars.
