Heyward Forest
Woah new trip difficulty just dropped? We added INT/ADV for intermediate riders who wanted to take on bigger routes with some potentially harder features, but didn’t quite have advanced technical riding skills. This is a similar idea. I’m looking for beginner riders that have been for a few rides and are ready to try something longer and a bit trickier than our ohill beginner rides, but still may not be intermediate level in terms of technical skills. The loop I have picked out is in the Foxhaven/Heyward area and will be about 11 mi 1000′, and is relatively chill intermediate level riding.
Because the sun goes down a frickin lunchtime and I’m somewhat time constrained this week, this ride will likely be out a bit past sundown. So, we’ll bring lights. The lights attach to your bike or helmet and are quite bright (1000+ lumen) so they’re fairly easy to ride with. Just wanted to add this as a disclaimer in case anyone doesn’t want to ride in the dark.
If you don’t have your own mountain bike or helmet, let me know on the trip questionnaire and we’ll try to secure you a club bike/helmet. Everyone will be waitlisted for this trip initially and depending on bike availability individuals will be taken off the waitlist accordingly.
