decorate your room??? (art hike!)

Hello wonderful people!! So I need to tell you a quick little story. Last school year I let my room decor completely get away from me. Imagine this: you tell yourself in september that you’re totally going to decorate your room…soon. But all of a sudden, the leaves have changed, halloweekend has passed…and you find yourself stuck staring at your BARE walls. But shopping for posters is so overwhelming and so overpriced…and you have so much work to do that room decoration seems impossible.

This is the very dilemma I found myself in last winter, until I had a stroke of genius: get the good people of ODC to decorate my room for me!! And so I led a glorious art hike with my dear pal Max Ellis. Everyone made art pieces for my room and it was magical. My walls went from gloomy and sad to to joyous and full of love. And I want to give YOU that experience this year!!

Okay so the plan is: we meet at slaughter at 5:30 and then we wander up O Hill until we find a desirable location to do art. And then we have a totally awesome time making drawings and paintings and whatever other art your heart desires. And then maybe, if you’re feeling really generous, you donate some of your art to each other (or me?!) to help everyone decorate their rooms. And maybe you also make some art for your own walls, and maybe you make a new best friend and you guys exchange art pieces and life stories. Exciting stuff.
