Deer Walk. Walk, talk, and look about for deer.

OVERVIEW

I enjoy seeing large wildlife and deer are really what we got around Charlottesville. Not sure we will see any but we will look for some and in the meantime I will share facts about deer biology, behavior, and history. If you have anything you want to share about deer you should too. Will go over their habits, social interactions, tracking, fun facts, etc.

Also I think the area we are going to is a very underappreciated section of the rivanna trail that is lovely in the afternoon on its own. Hope to see you there.

Plan:
Meet at slaughter at 3:00pm
Take the mighty gold line bus to north grounds if no driver is available
Around 3:15 get on the Rivanna trail behind north grounds
Take the trail through some woods to a nice big field where deer like to hang out in the afternoon.
Look for and talk about deer (and anything else you would like)
Around 4:15 start heading back to central grounds.

Water if you think youll need it
Shoes you can walk in and that can get dirty
