Do you Want To BE A Cat and also Paddle? Intro to Kayaking

OVERVIEW

Hey all you paddlin’ cats! To get ready for our upcoming epic season of fall paddling it’s time to get back to basics with this intro to kayaking clinic. This trip is targeted towards those who have:
a) never paddled a kayak before and would like to try it out
b) have paddled a kayak before but are interested in whitewater kayaking/want to learn to paddle and roll a whitewater kayak
c) have paddled a whitewater kayak and want to learn/perfect their kayak roll
*the kayak roll is the practice of self-righting after tipping over a kayak!*
*If these don’t apply to you but you’d like to come paddle, you’re more than welcome! we cannot however provide you with a kayak/watercraft*

This is a great way to work on paddle strokes (whitewater kayaks really like to spin) and practice/develop your kayak roll to prepare you for whitewater rapids or other kayaking adventures. Will and I will be there to really just offer instruction, as structured or as loose as y’all want it. Otherwise, we’re just gonna relax and have a great time out on the water 🙂

The Plan
10am – meet at echols
– go to le mysterious whitewater locker (ooooo ahhh) and get our boats and tings
– go to ragged and get in za water
– paddle around and learn
1:30 – group back up and head back to grounds as trained paddling professionals

What to Bring
– ze water bottle and ze snack if you’d like
– ze towel and change of clothes if you’d like
– ze sunscreen possibley?
– ze paddlin spirit
