DOUBLE SUNRISE Humpback Hike Collab! 🌅 🌎

OVERVIEW

You love the outdoors, right? Perhaps you’re interested in protecting it and want everyone to enjoy it! Maybe political action is up your alley or you want to get more involved in climate activism. Or maybe you just want to see a beautiful sunrise with some great company. If any of this resonates, then this trip is for you!!!

Come join this beginner-friendly sunrise hike at Humpback Rock with Sunrise UVA (formerly known as Fossil Fuel Divest UVA)!! Sunrise UVA is a “hub” of the national Sunrise Movement, which is an organization fighting to stop the climate crisis through student-driven action for environmental justice. This trip is a great opportunity to mingle and learn more about their organizing efforts and upcoming campaigns!

The deets:
– Depart from Echols at 5:30 AM
– Arrive at trailhead & start hiking at 6 AM
– Enjoy the sunrise at approximately 7:20 AM
– Hike down
– Drive back at around 8:30 AM
– Get back at 9 AM → optional Bodos trip to keep the good vibes going lol

YOU BRING
– Headlamp!!!
– Layers
– Water, coffee, snacks, whatever you need
