Downtown Paddling

OVERVIEW

Downtown James river is a Class III-IV paddling experience. Don’t sign up unless you have solid Class III experience and a very solid roll. Check out details of the run here http://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/1952/ This is the same stretch of river as Dave’s trip on Thursday. The club provides whatever gear you don’t have (boat, paddle, pfd, skirt, helmet). You should wear clothes you can get wet in and shoes good for the water. Bring a change of clothes, some money, and your ID and we might hit up Legend, the local microbrewery. The club will pay for gas if you drive. Sorry for the lame trip description (my creative secretary has the week off for finals) but if you check out the webpage or come on the trip you’ll see how awesome this run is.
