I have somehow managed to spend every weekend of this semester out of town (first Cancún, then DC, and lastly Virginia Tech) and I am over the clubs and in dire need to connect with nature. If you’re in a similar boat (or hell even if you’re not) join my roommate and I on a hike to Doyle’s River this Sunday!!!! It is a 3.3 roundtrip hike that takes us to two waterfalls and involves some stream crossings so don’t come in your kitten heels.
Here’s the plan:
6:30 am – depart
7:30 am – arrive at the trailhead & begin trekking
7:30 am – 9:45 am – hike, stare at the waterfalls, take pics, perhaps eat a sandwich
9:45 am – depart the hike
11 am – touchdown back on grounds!
What to bring:
Good walking shoes
water
maybe a change of socks if your feet get wet!
