Earth Day Hike at Fortunes Cove

OVERVIEW

This hike is an opportunity for members of the various environmental clubs at UVa to get together and enjoy nature together…SAVE, SEA, and the Outdoors Club have been planning some events to celebrate Earth Week and this hike is open to members of all 3 groups.
Fortunes Cove is a beautiful 5.5 mile hike on a peice of property owned by the Nature Conservancy. It’s about 40 mins South of C’Ville and apparently has some amazing views. It’s not too tough of a hike, but definitly not a “walk” either–I expect it should take us about 4-5 hours including lunch break.

Bring a lunch and water and layers, because you never know with the weather in C’Ville…

Outdoors at UVa provides:

seat in car if needed—but please let me know if you have a car available and are willing to drive; we’ll also provide gas money
