Edible Plants at Uva

OVERVIEW

Would you like to know where the apple, fig, pear, and other fruit trees of UVA grounds are located? If so, come on this short walk in which we will identify many of the fruit trees and berry bushes of the Pavilion Gardens on either side of the Lawn along with a few culinary and medicinal herbs along the way. The apple, pear and fig trees are still in season, so we’ll be able to sample some fresh fruit along the way.
If you want to remember the uses of a lot of plants you might find a small notebook useful, otherwise just come prepared to find whatever fruit is still in season. We will meet on the Rotunda steps facing the Lawn, on the side closer to the Corner. If you have trouble finding the group call me at 540-241-5816. See you soon!
