OVERVIEW

Problem #1- We use cars way to damn much these days.

Problem #2- There’s a lot of great places around this town that are unexplored

Solution- Explore this town without using those cursed coffins on wheels.

We’re gonna start something here. Once a week we’re all gonna get together and explore the options for post-fossil fuel recreation. Some weeks we’re gonna bike, other weeks we’ll hike, and other weeks we just may run depending on the selected venue. The possibilities are quite endless, but no matter what we do, during these adventures, we will not ever rest our rumps behind the wheel of a car or associate with anyone who would consider such an inane activity. Public transport, bikes, trikes, street luges, feet- these are all viable means of transportation and sometimes it may require creative combinations of multiple means to achieve our goal, but I feel that this challenge will enrich the collegiate careers of all participants.

This Saturday will be the innagural gathering and I feel that an event suited for all skill levels will be most appropriate, so we’re gonna head over to Ragged Mountain Reservoir and explore the options there. I’ve been told by a reliable source that “running and swimming are prohibited there, but it is a great place to try both,” so we’ll go for a hike and see what happens. Biking seems to be the logical transportation option for this trip, but I’m open to suggestions. This should be a grand afternoon.
