Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Don’t have plans yet for Fall Break? Well, ya do now! We’re gonna sally on over to the greatest Wilderness Area this side of the Great Plains and tromp around for a few days to get a good, heavy dose of Nature before we even attempt to think about doing some school work. I’m hoping the fall colors will rollicking. All levels of backpacking experience are welcome. I don’t have a route planned yet, so I’ll tailor that to the general experience level of the group. If you’ve never been backpacking, or have little experience, there will be a mandatory shakedown/gear orientation sesh/pre-trip jovial gathering on Friday night at my house to make sure everyone’s properly prepared for the expedition. Also, be prepared to do some learning, this ain’t no walk in the park. It’s a national forest. Pick up any personal gear at one of our gear rooms.
So general outline of the trip: Friday night thing, leave Saturday morning, hike and camp Saturday through Monday morning/early afternoon, come back Monday afternoon.
My vehicle is in a woeful state of inoperation, so I’ll waitlist until drivers sign up.

Other useful camping things (knife, whatever)
