Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Robertson Mountain, Robertson, VA, USA
Oh Hello!
I wasn’t expecting you, after using such a pathetic trip title. Well, since you’re here, lemme invite you along on this fall-colored feat to Robertson Mountain! This summit is the extremely well-renowned, commonly overlooked, and 5 foot taller neighbor of the Shenandoah gem – Old Rag. Robertson Mountain boasts the same spectacular views you get from Old Rag, with only a fraction of the crowds and a slightly less treacherous hike. In addition, it’s getting to be peak season for the amazing fall foliage in Shenandoah and trust me, you don’t want to miss out on it!
We are taking the “easier” route up the mountain from Skyline Drive. However, it is still a six mile hike with considerable elevation gain, so attendees should be prepared to do some serious hiking. Some more information about the route we are taking can be found at this link: https://www.theoutbound.com/virginia/hiking/hike-robertson-mountain-in-shenandoah-np#
