Finals Study Break — Humpback Sunset Hike!

OVERVIEW

Your favorite Humpback hooligan is BACK and hungry for some quality time atop ~ye Olde Faithful~

Take a recess break from finals and catch the sunset at Humpback on Thursday night. The sunset should be happening right around 8pm, so let’s leave at 6:15pm from Echols side-door, take the short cut up, enjoy the sunset and saunter on down after a lil bit. Please don’t be late to Echols or we’ll miss the sunset… also, I only wait about 5 minutes after the set time before leaving.

I DO NOT HAVE A CAR AND WE NEED DRIVERS! DRIVERS GET REIMBURSED + 50% TIP! Drivers will be given absolute priority, and from there, I will select people from the top of the waitlist down.

I’m thinking one of two things for my trip attendees– either y’all hand me a few bucks each and i make THE WORLD’S best trail mix (credits to Brian Meffle for the inspiration), or venmo me beforehand and I will scoop up Bodo’s bagels for everyone who wants one (made to order)! So, even if you have hiked humpback before, here’s an incentive to try some mystery snackiez. I’ll email trip attendees separately about that.

THE PLAN:
Roll out from Echols at 6:15
Arrive at Humpback Rocks parking lot ~7:00
Hike, sing songs, tell jokes, hug, laugh, cry, each food, etc.
Head back around 8:30/9
Arrive back in Charlottesville circa 9:30pm (or earlier, honestly)

WHAT TO BRING:
Hiking shoes
Layers (it’s liable to cool off around sundown)
Headlamp and/or flashlight (kinda optional)
Water!!
Snacks??
