Outside slaughter
116 Washington Avenue - A.K.A. Shred Shack
O Hill Dining Hall, McCormick Road, Charlottesville, VA, USA
Mary Oliver, Camille T. Dungy, Ralph Walso Emerson, Joy Harjo, Natalie Diaz, Robert Frost
You may recognize some of those poets’ names…
but what you may not know is they are all nature poets!
If you want to be or are a nature poet, join us this Thursday evening.
Jade and I will wander over O’Hill starting at Slaughter and end up at the Shred Shack in time for the bonfire.
We will stop a couple of times along the way to reflect and write.
This trip is a collab with the one and only FLUX!! So it’s also a great opportunity to meet some non-ODC folks. Flux is the singular poetry and spoken word club on grounds. They frequently host incredible open mic nights on Thursday in Brooks Hall but this week they’ll be joining us for our hike and bonfire.
