Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Old Rag
Let’s celebrate the start of the weekend with a sunset hike! The weather looks pretty nice on Friday, so I’m hoping to get in a good hike before the rainy weekend.
This is a very challenging hike with rock scrambles. If you’ve never done it before, make sure to read the description by following the Hiking Upward link below. It’s a 9 mile loop, and should take about 5.5-6 hours (including the sunset viewing/snack break).
The plan: Meet at Echols Dorm at 12:30 PM (after those fun morning classes) and drive about 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there. Sunset is at 5:40 PM, so hopefully if we get to the trailhead around 1:45 PM, we should make it up in time and get some great views.
