Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Strickler Knob
Hey friends! No class on Friday so time for a beautiful hike to Strickler Knob. According to Hiking Upward, “The Strickler Knob Trail is a challenging rock hopping/scramble with beautiful views of New Market Gap, the Luray Valley, and a 360 degree picture perfect panorama from the Strickler Knob summit. This is a challenging hike with a great little rock scramble on the ridge.” That being said it is about 8.6 miles with some rock scrambling (excitement) and should not be your first hike!
Plan is to leave from Echols at about 9 am on Friday morning, drive an hour and 20ish minutes there, hike, and get back to UVA by 5 pm(at the latest).
What you should bring:
-water
-good/sturdy shoes for hiking
-food if you want to eat
-ca$h if we wanna stop for food on the way back
-your smile and dumb jokes
