Friendship Court Garden Party

OVERVIEW

It’s the hottest party of the year (quite literally) and you’re invited!! One week in and we’re already getting’ down and dirty my friends. Lettuce turnip the beet and sweat like never before (other than on your 5 min walk to class) at the Friendship Court Garden Party!!

Since I know you’ve all been itching for a service trip all summer, please join me and the Urban Agricultural Collective of Cville for a lovely evening of pruning, weed pulling, and practicing for sweet retirement. We’ll be working in their community garden (located on the corner of Monticello and 6th Street SE).

If you’ve never gardened before, don’t worry! Romaine calm. It’ll grow on ya.

-water
-sunscreen
-can-do attitude
-elbow grease (lots of it)
-those ratty (yet stylish) farmer-esque overalls and straw hat of yours that you’ve been dying to wear out on the town
-your favorite road trip CDs (the drive is a solid 10-15 minute haul from Grounds)

And attention all foodies (like me)! No more rumbling tummies! The club reimburses $7 for service trip food.
