Howdy y’all,

Time for some more fun Friday climbing, and this time it’s some sweet trad climbing out at wintergreen. I was there for the first time not too long ago and it was a pretty cool area with some nice climbs. While this is a chill trip, a decent amount of lead/technical experience is required in regard to belaying, trad gear, and rappelling. So not placing gear, but enough familiarity to remove gear from the wall. But if anyone is feeling ready, then there are some nice beginner routes that can make for a good first lead. If we have time we can also do anchor-building practice at the base of the crag and on belaying from above.

What you need to bring:
– Helmet
– Harness
– Climbing shoes
– Chalk if you want it
– Lunch/ snacks
– Water (2L)
– Appropriate clothing to be outside all day
