FWOC beginner climb

OVERVIEW

Wanna get outside and climb after the first week of classes?? This trip is for you! I spent the summer doing youth programming and guiding in the Augusta County area and am not ready for the start of school and to go back inside all day 🙁 SOOOOO I am not going to (at least not yet). Hidden roofs is an amazing area to climb, with so much to offer for all experience levels. It is about a mile and a half hike to the climb, but it is not too hard! (I drag 8 year old’s there for reference). I will rig up some very beginner friendly top rope climbs for people to get an introduction into climbing/outdoor climbing. It is about an hour 15 min drive. If we get another driver we could add more spots to the trip.

We are going to prioritize new members / people who have been on few trips. We will start letting people off the waitlist after the first interest meeting.

What you should bring
-climbing harness! (check out the gear room)
-climbing shoes (gear room again)
-climbing helmet (guess where? hint: gear room)
-comfy clothes for hiking and climbing in
-snacks/lunch!

What I will bring:
-rope!
-belay devices and gear
-everything else one might need to climb
