Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Goshen Pass
Hey y’all
Thomas Shredison here to expand your mental horizons to capacities only imaginable in children’s books. Recently I, as well as two other lucky individuals, have been endowed with the teachings and blessing of the ODC’s very own Rock Master Matthew “Climb Monk” K. and his partner Anna “Climb or Die” N. Both of which have studied the millennia old metamorphic text, for the last 15 years, deep in the heart of the Rockies. With their new blessings and teachings we (Rhaude, Samuel, and Myself) would like to lead a small group of you out to Goshen pass where we will attempt to test these new skills.
What does this look like?
Top rope y’all!!
We are going out to Maury River Wall at Goshen and want to bring some beginners with us to spread the love and knowledge of climbing.
Because this is a very popular spot and our first beginner climbing trip, we are limiting the number of people that we can bring with us.
All skill types are still welcome but beginners are not excluded!
What to bring:
Daypack (or any old pack really)
Water (1-2L)
Comfortable climbing clothes
Climbing shoes
Chalk bag (optional)
Climbing helmet
Harness
ATC/Grigri
Quick draws (optional)
Lunch + snacks
Club Provides:
Climbing shoes
Chalk bag
Climbing helmet
Harness
ATC/Grigri
Quick draws
We will bring some hammocks and definitely have some chill time. There is a river we can cool off in as well, so keep that in mind (bring a towel) when you’re packing!
Keep the climb alive,
Thomas Shredison, Rhaude, & Clifford
