Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Peak Experiences Climbing Gym
Oh yeah indoor climbing in the middle of winter when it’s snowing outside!!
** This trip is wintry weather dependent. But let’s try to make it a go **
We’ll be heading out to Peak Experiences in Richmond to climb their oh-so-high routes. They’ve got problems from VB-V7 and routes from 5.Party – 5.13 to get your climb on, wear off your calluses, and fly through those screaming dynos.
Show up at 5:15 if you need gear, and we’ll bust out of Charlottesville by 5:30 on down our favorite road to all things climbing (Rt. 64!) btw, 64 should be your favorite number because it leads to climbing in the East (Peak!) and the hottest, biggest crag of the U.S. – the New River Gorge, plus Meadow River, and Summersville Lake. Hope you’re as excited about the spring climbing season as I am.
As for this climbing adventure, I’ll take one or two folks that don’t know how to belay if we have enough belayers on board. If you want food, get it on your own time (we won’t be stopping on the way home). Drivers – please fill up beforehand so we can rock out.
What to bring: your favorite snow bunny hat, your badass climbing gear, water, food, $7 fee
Club provides: gas reimbursement, the gear you wish you had
