Gorge-ous Gorge-ous girls go climbing (rescheduled!!)

OVERVIEW

Hey there gorge-ous girls – come spend this Saturday touching some rocks with me and Shatatayququqa in the gorge-ous New River Gorge! Plus- get to spend the night in a cozy cabin right near the cliffs courtesy of Shay’s folks. Yayayay!

The plan is to head out of Cville at 5 on Friday evening and drive the ~3 hours up to Fayetteville. We’ll cook our dinners, spend the night, and then wake up bright and early Saturday morning to hit the crag. Let’s plan on climbing most of the day, and heading home in the late afternoon, perhaps around 4/5ish.

This trip will be primarily sport climbing – so those who have experience leading and lead belaying will be prioritized when it comes to getting off that waitlist. We will seek out moderate climbs (5.7-5.10ish) – likely at Bubba City or other walls north of the bridge, depending on weather and such.

The Food Sitch:
– Bring your own dinner to cook! The cabin has a stove/pots for boiling water/etc.
– We can provide communal bagel + spread breakfast if folks are willing to venmo 🙂 mmmmmm yum

Gear to bring/acquire from a gear room:
– Sleeping bag
– Sleeping pad
– Dinner to cook for friday!
– We have a stove @ the cabin for boiling water
– Climbing shoes and harness
– Helmet
– Chalk bag
– Warm warmy clothes
– Comfy shoes
– Snacks for the day on Saturday!

Shayla + I shall bring:
– First aid kit
– CLEAN! Ropes a plenty
– Quickdraws, stuff to clean
– Belay devices and lockers
– Our safest climbing practices +knowledge <3 * this trip is copied from a few weeks ago! People who didn't get the opportunity to come on that one will get priority off waitlist 🙂
