OVERVIEW

**PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AS THIS IS NOT A STANDARD INTERMEDIATE OHILL RIDE**

If you stalk the website like me, I’m sure you’ve seen the pictures of people mountain biking in their Halloween costumes and know how sick those pictures are, especially the one of Alan in a pink bunny costume midjump. Somehow the stars aligned and Alan and I were both free to lead a costume ride on Halloween day so get excited! This is not your standard trip. Sure we’re going to bike but the emphasis is on SAFELY goofing around on the trails in our costumes while riding some sick stuff and taking some sick pictures. There will also be an OPTIONAL night ride lap of Ohill Long Downhill. I had my first night ride experience on the way to NRGE and am itching to do it again so what better time than the spooky night of Halloween?

Between riding in costumes and a potential night ride, this trip is likely more dangerous than the normal Ohill ride. Keep this in mind when signing up. That being said, we will always follow safe practices as safety is our utmost priority. If you show up in a costume we deem is not safe to ride in, we will have to ask you not to ride. We will let people off this waitlist based on our discretion of how sick and safe you think your costume is (don’t lie.) and how likely you are to join the night ride.

Here’s all the usual stuff:

If you don’t have your own mountain bike or helmet, let us know on the trip questionnaire and we’ll try to secure you a club bike/helmet.

What you bring:
– YOUR COSTUME
– Water (either a bottle that will fit in a bottle cage, or bring a small backpack/hip pack to hold it)
– Gloves (optional but recommended, even cheap ones work wonders)
– Closed-toe shoes (flat-bottomed shoes are best, think vans, af1, etc.)
– Weather-appropriate clothing (check the weather, if it’s going to be cold wear stuff under your costume)

What we bring:
– Bikes
– Helmets

Schedule:
5:00pm – meet at shrack and grab bikes
5:15pm – bike bike bike
6:30pm – return to shrack and put up bikes of non night riders
6:45pm – NIGHT RIDE! NIGHT RIDE!
7:15pm – return to shrack and put up bikes

*This is a weird trip so everything is subject to change*
