Haunted Halloween Humpback Hike🎃

HELLO WAHOO NATION!

If you, like me, are desperately craving some time in this lovely, crisp autumn air, join me this Thursday morning for a sunrise hike! What better way to celebrate Halloween, reconnect with nature before this weekend’s tomfoolery, and appreciate the gorgeous peak foliage? We’re gonna go bright and early because I have a 9:30am exam (atrocious) so if you’re on the fence about the hike because of classes, don’t worry.

Does the 5am start sound scarier to you than Halloween itself? Maaaaybe BUT CONSIDER: since it’s Halloween, you could literally drag your sheet off of your bed and wear it on the hike because you could plausibly say that you’re just dressed up as a ghost for the day. How often can you say that? No excuses. We might even play Halloween Howls on the ride over if people are feeling it (the album that Spooky Scary Skeletons came from; I adamantly believe that the whole album is fantastic fun and listen to it every year).

SCHEDULE:
5:00am: Meet at the corner of Echols
5:45am: Arrive at Humpback and start our hike
6:30am: Breathe in the crisp summit air
7:00am: Hike back down
7:45am: Drive back to grounds
8:30am: Part ways (filled with very spooky energy)

YOU BRING:
– Shoes you want to hike in
– Water
– Layers
– Headlamp or phone flashlight

I BRING:
– Same as what you bring PLUS some guaranteed spooky energy

Drivers will be prioritized! I do not have a car 🙁 If multiple drivers sign up, then I’ll increase the number of people who can go on the trip.
