Hawksbill? Hawk Yeah!

OVERVIEW

So I don’t know about you guys, but classes are really starting to kill me by Wednesdays. Let’s chill out with all the writing and calc with a nice hike up to Hawksbill. We will be doing the loop route.

Schedule:

1-We will limp out of our morning classes to meet at Echols at 12.
2-Bond for about 1:15-1:30min in the car ride to the trailhead. I do expect everyone to have some bops. This will have us arrive at about 1:20ish.
3-Start the loop by going counter-clockwise and hiking the 1.8ish miles around to the summit. It should be a pretty fast hike, but I really have nowhere to be and will have a good excuse to put my work off longer if we hike slower.
4-Chill at the summit and catch some amazing views (if weather allows) for 20 min or so.
5-Hike the last .8 miles back to our cars.
6-Get back to the cars by 3ish.
7-Bop some more on the way home.
8-Get back to Echols around 4:30

Disclaimer: I’m going to set the end time as 4:30, but you never know what might happen to set us back. If you have somewhere to be Wednesday, late in the afternoon, I would not recommend going on this trip.

DRIVERS ARE NEEDED!!!! Why not come along? You get reimbursed for your gas and get a 50% tip. (Its just over 100 miles total… thats gonna be some good money.) You also get the satisfaction of driving on Skyline Dr.

Do you know what this trip and Subway have in common? Theyre both only 5 dollars! This expense is to get us into Shenandoah National Park. (Of course if we can get some people with the pass, then we will not need to pay this expense.)

What You Need:
-Water
-Good shoes (Would you want to want to walk close to 3 miles in your vans?)
-Snacks are always good to have
-Rain clothes (Its supposed to be sunny this wednesday, but it also seems to be monsoon season lately. You never know.)
-Good music for the car ride
