hey y’all! I’ve had a sunrise hike kick recently and what better way to fix that than hiking humpback rocks! Humpback is a great sunrise hike (good for beginners and intermediate hikers) but be warned it’s a bit steep. that being said, we will be taking frequent rests and it will not be a race to the top (if that’s your thing you’re welcome to zoom up there though and leave me in the dust.)
The plan:
5:40am: meet at corner of Echols dorm, leave by 5:50
6:20am: arrive at humpback!
7:00am: arrive at the top, wait for sunrise around 7:20
8:00-8:20am: get back to car, depending on how long we stay at the top
back at grounds around 9:00am (can’t guarantee you’ll be back if you have a 9:00am)
What to bring:
sunshine and positivity
water
headlamp (not required)
hiking shoes
snack for the top
