i’ve been thinking a lot about cyclohexane. specifically it’s conformers. it’s kind of crazy the way it flits through it’s many different shapes 100,000 times per second all in the search of being stable. and it’s shapes are still 6 carbons and 12 hydrogens but they each look different. and it comes back to each shape and leaves each shape and then comes back again. and our choice to call each shape a “conformer” when it’s kind of the opposite because it’s different than the preceding and following shapes. it’s all very poetic.
ANYWAYS
i want to go into the wilderness and journal and write and perhaps even write about cyclohexane. come join me! and it’ll be an early (for me) wakeup to get your sunday productivity off to a good start. the plan is simple: meet at slaughter at 9am on sunday, go hike and find a spot, nature journal/write for a while, share or don’t share, return, and possibly get breakfast at o hill or something
