Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
White Oak Canyon Trail
This hike follows a beautiful stretch of White Oak Canyon as it descends the Blue Ridge in Shenandoah Park, with waterfalls and deep pools. We will start at the base of the mountain on the edge of the park near the town of Syria in Madison County and hike approximately five miles out and back with a lunch stop at a waterfall. If there’s time we can take a mile detour on the way back and stop at Graves Mountain Lodge where there are a number of wild persimmon trees and a farm stand that sells apples from the orchard there. Bring a lunch and a bag if you would like collect persimmons. See you soon!
