You love the outdoors and now it’s time to pay it forward! Blue Sky Fund, which is based in Richmond, connects urban children from low income families to the natural environments in our region, reaching elementary, middle and high school students through in-school, after-school, weekend, and summer programs. We all know how much joy being outside can bring and we as a club wanna make sure everyone has this opportunity so I am making this trip as a fundraiser that goal.
To go on this hike I request that you donate at least 5 dollars towards the Blue Sky Fund (but feel free to give more!). To make this simple for you you can just send money to the Outdoors Club Venmo and then we will pool it together to send it in. I’ll take us through that process as we gather for the hike. To sweeten the deal for you all I will have cookies for all you kind and generous souls to enjoy on the hike.
The hike itself will be at O-hill (the hump of earth not the dinning hall) and we will be going for about 5 miles, but it all depends on what the group is feeling.
