Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Shenandoah National Park
That’s another try to motivate some of you for a hike on the weekend (although everyone is talking about skiing ;-))
The Doyles River trail offers a short (4hr) and a long (5hr) circuit of moderate difficulty. Here’s what the guide book says: “These circuits offer rewarding hikes along the east slope of the Blue Ridge. … they feature waterfalls along Doyles River and Jones Run … [which] are located in deep gorges with broken, precipitous cliffs and enourmous trees…” They also pass overlooks.
This is only a suggestion, we can be flexible…
Bring warm clothes, warm, comfortable shoes, something to drink and a snack for lunch.
weather.com predicts 44°F and partly cloudy weather…
If you have a pass for the Shenandoah NP, please bring it!
