Hike Old Rag

OVERVIEW

Everyone who goes to UVA should hike Old Rag at least once. It’s a beautiful granite mountain about an hour’s drive away, featuring an 8-1/2 mile circuit hike with half a mile of boulder scrabble at the top of the mountain. Expect to slide, stoop, and jump!

When we get to the top, we’ll have lunch, chill out, and admire one of Central Virginia’s best views before beginning the trek back.

Update: We have a 2nd driver, so 10 people can come on this trip.

You bring:
– $8 entry fee
– hiking boots
– minimum 2 quarts of water
– lunch and snacks
– backpacks… At least one for every 2 people to hold food and water

Club provides:
– transportation
– gas money if you drive
