Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Riprap Hollow, Shenandoah Park
Looking to swim in cool water and hike in the shade to get there? We will hike two miles up from the lower entrance to the Riprap Trail on the Shenandoah Valley side of Shenandoah Park and arrive at a refreshing swimming hole. Those who wish to hike further can walk a short ways up to a blueberry picking area. Because of the hot weather there’s no guarantee of as many berries as when the club offered this adventure last July, but it’s worth a try!
Please bring -Plenty of water to drink
-Bug repellent
-Swimsuit and bag for picking berries if you want
-Snacks
The club provides gas money for carpool drivers and a seat in a car. I will expand the adventure as carpool drivers sign up. See you soon!
