Hike’n’camp in Lovely Snp

OVERVIEW

I own a topo map of Virginia; it has a little blue circle that represents Charlottesville reservoir, which is fed by a pair of fresh mountain streams in SNP. I’d like to follow these streams down the mountain, (or follow the nearest path) and try to discover the water for myself, if at all possible. Who wants to come?
After hiking the day, we’ll camp somewhere, and return to UVa by fairly early Sunday morn.
Bring/ wear a swimsuit in case we do strike water.
Bring water and some kind of sharable ready-to-eat foodstuff (I don’t know whether we’ll do fire.)

This is a rougly planned excursion – I’m just trying to enjoy some mountain air while nights are still fairly warm.
