Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
George Washington National Forest
I have heard great things about this hike and cannot wait to see what it is really like.
It’s a bit of a drive (~2 hours), but will hopefully be worth it. Views are said to rival Old Rag.
This shouldn’t be too strenuous of a hike, only steep in the beginning, and it will be up and back, not a circuit.
It’s an up and back hike, and depending on what everyone feels like and how long it takes us, there’s a chance we can tack on an additional shorter hike to Tibbet Knob that would leave from the same parking lot.
Check out http://www.hikingupward.com/GWNF/BigSchloss/ for more details.
The club provides: Gas $$$
You provide: WATER, lunch, snacks, sturdy shoes, layers.
I’ll probably cap the trip at 10 so we’re not a mob going through the forest, but everyone gets waitlisted until I get drivers.
