Bonnycastle Circle
Shenandoah National Park
If you still haven’t got plans for reading break, why don’t you take a couple of days out of your 4-day weekend and soak up some pretty scenery at our local national park?
This trip will include a moderate (6-8 mile) hike on Sat. and camping out at Big Meadows campsite on Sat. night. Should leave plenty of time for ‘reading’ on Mon/Tues. The leaves should be starting to turn colors in the mountains!
This will be a small group of people due to so many trips going out this weekend and a limit on club camping equipment that is available. Priority will be given to those who have a tent/sleeping bag, so go ahead and sign up (waitlist) if you have those. No backpack is needed since we’ll camp at a campsite.
Also, if you have a park pass bring it.
Club Provides: sleeping bag/tent if you need it, lunch + dinner Sat., breakfast Sun, park camping/parking fee, and a ride to the park. (basically everything)
you bring: lots of water, warm clothes, any camping stuff you have.
