Hiking? Natural Waterslide? Camaraderie? Uh Yeah Okay I Guess

OVERVIEW

This week is hot. I haven’t been on a hike in like two weeks.

If either of these statements apply to you, you could be eligible to win a no-expense paid trip to come with me to hike the Cedar Run trail in Shenandoah! Plus, there’s a fun little natural waterslide and some cool waterfall or something along those lines when we get there so you can bet your bottom we’ll be doing some much needed splishin and splashin.

We’ll meet at Echols at 10am, make the 1.5 hour drive to the Cedar Run Trailhead, and begin the hike. It’s about 1.7 miles downhill to the watering hole. Upon arrival, swimming will ensue for as long as we deem necessary. We can also explore the area a little more. When all is said and done, we’ll towel off and skedaddle. I am anticipating we’ll get back around 4ish, but hey we can always stop for food!

What to bring, you ask?
-hiking shoes that you might want to be able to put a wet foot into
-swimsuit (if you’re into that sort of thing)
-towel (+spare clothes?)
-water for drinking
-snacks?
-acceptance of the fact that if you come on this trip, you and I will most certainly become at least fairly adequate friends

Important: will cost $5 for parking if we don’t get SNP passes

DRIVERS NEEDED!
-drivers get priority off the waitlist. The club reimburses for gas +50% tip!
-drivers need to show up to Echols with a full tank of gas!
