Hiking the “Triple Crown”

OVERVIEW

Yes, the title is a little cheesy but the guide book said it not me. The triple crown refers to a hike that includes Dragon’s Tooth, McAfee Knob, and Tinker cliffs. These peaks have some of the best vistas in VA and on the AT for that matter. We’re going to shoot for 12 miles a day which shouldn’t be too bad, and which will allow us to reach one of the vistas a day. The mountains are near Roanoke, and we’re going to try and get down there as early as possible, if you have class on Friday let me know and we can work some thing out. Lets get dirty and tired, and have some fun.
