We did it friends, ’tis the end of the semester and finals season!!! For those who want to celebrate, I propose you this hike! What says celebration more than taking on an adventure to climb 470 million year old rocks together? (aka Shenandoah Mountains- shoutout to Google for that fun fact)
The hike is 3.2 miles with 800ish feet in elevation (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/virginia/calvary-and-chimney-rocks-trail?ref=result-card), and we’ll be taking it easy so it’s definitely beginner-friendly! Just make sure to come prepared 🙂 Also fee only applies if we don’t get enough park passes.
What you’ll need:
– Good shoes for hiking
– snacks if desired
– Lots of water!!
– LAYERS (it’s December and we’ll be starting off early, so be prepared for chilly and windy weather)
– Mask for the car ride
– $5 or SNP pass (I have 1)
Schedule:
7:00am-meet at Echols
8:00- arrive at trailhead and start climbing!
9ish- summit time!! snack, take in the view, pics, bond 😀
9:15- (more of an approximation than anything else, if no one is in a rush or if we aren’t freezing up there then we can totally chill at the top longer) start heading back down
10:10- Leave parking lot
11ish- Back in Cville, Bodo’s??
Be back to Echols by noon!

***** Drivers will be reimbursed gas + 50% tip, please arrive to Echols with a full tank of Gas if you want to be reimbursed*****
