HUMAN COMPOST: THE BEGINNINGS

OVERVIEW

Oh HELLOO my fellow decaying and reproducing organisms!!!! Do you ever wish you could understand your banana peel on a spiritual level? Channel earthworm energy and use our poop to create the building block of life? Do you want to explore the beautiful creation latent within our own eventual decay? Or do you also feel stressed out every time you see trash cans packed with roots bowls and peanut noodles and want to PROTECT OUR AMAZING EARTH???

If any of these questions touched your heart strings, come join us this Friday for a quick excursion into the world of composting and how we can create tangible action composting in our own lives. Some students from the sustainability office have put together a quick presentation on composting at UVA and in our country at large, so we gonna unite in communion to explore this beautiful and ever-pressing topic. Here’s the plan:

1 PM — converge at the ampetherate, wow those food trucks always smell so pooping good
1:01 PM — find cozy spot outside or in, dive into that compost!!!!!!
1:25 PM — go for a meandering nature walk asking questions we may have / discussing life ponderings
1:45 PM — dive forth into the world hopefully a leeetle more united and prepared to give our natural environment the love it so, so deeply deserves <3

Bring any snackies / lunch you want, un mask if we go inside, and your most true and unyielding self. And prepare yoself for free composting bags from the sustainability office and lots of love and happy ODC vibes <3 <3 <3
