Humpback Rocks Hike

OVERVIEW

Humpback Rock, is one of the most popular hikes along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The trail is short but steep, and the effort is well worth it at the top, you’ll be rewarded with some of the best panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

This is a great opportunity to get outside, enjoy the fall weather, and spend time with friends in nature. Whether you’re coming for the exercise, the scenery, or just to hang out, this hike has something for everyone.

The trail is about 2 miles each way, it usually takes around 45 minutes to reach the top and about the same time to get back down. Please note that the trail is very steep, so this hike can be challenging and is not recommended for beginners.

We will meet up at 10:00 and will depart at 10:15.

arrive at 11:00

arrive to the peak around 12. Have some rest and eat some snacks.

we will be going back on grounds around 2 !

I’m happy to drop you off anywhere near Grounds, but I can’t guarantee that other drivers will be able to do the same

The location is around 45-minute drive from grounds, so drivers have the priority to get off the waitlist! we offer gas reimbursement too!

I have a car and can take up to 4 people with me, so we need 2 more drivers.

Hikers with experience will be considered first when taking people off the waitlist.

I’ll bring extra water bottles and my car!

You need to bring:
Some snacks, multiple water bottles, good hiking shoes.
hiking pants are strongly recommended (pls don’t wear jeans, trust me you will suffer in them :))
