Humpback SUNRISE Bday Hike (Tuesday 9/3)

OVERVIEW

I’m turning 20 tmrw (what?!?!?) and I realized as I was sitting on the lawn today that there is nothing I’d rather do on my bday more than wake up in the pitch black darkness and hike up a mountain with other outdoorsy people to see the sun rise. **I was going to lead this trip on Thursday but it looks cloudy then so I decided, why not(!), let’s try a last minute trip** It’s supposed to be BEAUTIFUL tmrw morning so don’t let the early wake-up scare you away. If you like birthdays, being outside, and meeting new people before your brain has time to wake up, this trip is for you!!!

timeline:
5AM arrive at echols
5:10ish leave echols (please try to be on time!!)
5:40 arrive at humpback
6:40 summit in time to see SUNRISE (@6:46)
8ish back to car
8:20-8:30AM drop-off at Echols, back on grounds with plenty of time before your 9am 😀

please bring:
a headlamp
good walking shoes
layers
water (?)

Drivers WILL get priority (I don’t have a car!) and are eligible for gas reimbursement!
