Humpback Sunrise Hike #2

OVERVIEW

For those of us unlucky enough to be burdened with morning classes on Friday, it looks to be pretty clear on Saturday morning as well, so here’s another chance to get up at stupid-o-clock and catch the sunrise at Humpback. I have a car, so I’m capping it at 6 people to start until I get more drivers. PAY ATTENTION TO DEPARTURE TIME, cause if you’re early, you’re on time, and if you’re on time, you’re late, and if you’re late, you’re left.

-Leave Echols at 5:15
-Get there close to 6
-Get to the top close to 6:30
-Watch the sun come up just before 7
-Hang out for a while until the cold gets to us
-Back to the parking lot by 8
-Should be back to UVA by 8:30

BRING
-Good hiking shoes (if you fall off I have to do paperwork, so please avoid that)
-LAYERS. Looks to be a low of about 25 degrees
-Water
-Possibly a flashlight
-Your phone (because what UVA student doesn’t end up with a Humpback sunrise Insta photo?)
